The 30-minute scoping call

We'll ask you 6-8 questions designed to understand your organization quickly. What's your headcount and structure? What AI tools do you know your team is using? Are you planning to deploy Copilot or Gemini? What compliance frameworks matter to you (HIPAA, FINRA, SOX, GDPR, NY DFS)? Who's your cyber insurance carrier, and have they asked you about AI controls? What's your timeline for addressing AI governance?

This call is for learning, not selling. We don't make assumptions about your risk profile; we ask. We don't pitch remediation services on the call; we scope what an assessment would cover and when it would start.

After the scoping call

Within 2 business days, we send you a proposal with a fixed-fee price for the assessment, a detailed scope of what we'll examine, a timeline (almost always 3 weeks from kickoff), and information about what you'll receive. You can review it, ask questions, and decide without pressure.

If you're ready to go, we schedule a kickoff call and start Week 1 discovery. If you have questions, we answer them. If it's not the right time, we check in 6 months later.

Full engagement timeline

The assessment itself runs 3 weeks. Week 1 is scoping and preparation: you and we sync on your tech stack and compliance drivers, and we prepare our audit queries. Week 2 is evidence collection: we pull telemetry from M365, identity systems, and DLP tools, run the employee survey, and conduct interviews with 4-6 business leaders. Week 3 is analysis and reporting: we synthesize everything, assign risk scores, draft the executive summary and recommendations, and prepare a slide deck.

After the report is delivered, we schedule a 60-minute readout session where we walk through findings with your IT and compliance leadership. From there, you can engage us for a follow-on Remediation engagement (typical engagement is 90 days, starting with policy and DLP, moving into monitoring), or you can implement the roadmap on your own.

Fixed-fee pricing model

Assessment pricing starts in the low five figures for a typical 100-employee organization. The exact fee depends on the scope we define in the scoping call: your org size, the number of AI tools we expect to find, and the number of compliance frameworks we assess against. Bigger organizations with more complex AI deployments run higher; smaller orgs with a smaller AI footprint run lower.

We quote a fixed fee, not hourly. You know the total cost before we begin. We also offer a Quarterly Monitoring add-on (separate monthly subscription) that runs lightweight spot-checks between full assessments and flags new shadow AI or policy violations.

What to bring to the scoping call

You don't need to prepare extensively, but a few pieces of information make the call faster: a rough headcount broken down by department (Sales, Finance, Ops, etc.); a list of AI tools you KNOW your team is using or planning to use; the name of your cyber insurance carrier, so we know what they're asking for; and any compliance frameworks you operate under (HIPAA, FINRA, SOX, GDPR, NY DFS Cybersecurity Reg, etc.).
